The Periwinkle Bottle Shop and Social Space is a cute little tiny 250sq ft gem of a spot located right on the outskirts of downtown Beaufort NC. Created by Kris and Beckie Davis. Kris runs a mobile bar that specializes primarily in Mocktails and Kombucha on tap, he also does private events with a full bar menu and specialty cocktails. This little project/side hustle/hobby was the root of how the periwinkle came to be. We always have dreamt up little dreams together, and one of them was creating a social space in our little town that was comfortable and safe for people to meet up with their families and friends for beverages and snacks! We saw this little building on the corner of Live Oak, and we kept our eyes peeled finally, one day, there was a ‘for rent’ sign in the window! HOWEVER, we had JUST had a baby, and we have two other kiddos and a million other jobs and things, but sometimes timing is timing, so we jumped on it. Kris originally wanted to name our new baby Periwinkle, and we would call her Peri. Which is great, but it didn’t feel like that is who she was, and it wasn’t. The wink was supposed to be the wink! And so it began; we put our little heads and hearts together and got to work developing out a ‘brand’ with an epic friend (summerside creative) that is very talented at honing in on a feeling, a concept, and a vision for our little bottle shop and social space. The Periwinkle starting coming to life, and now we have successfully hit the ground running and implemented some really great events, and launched our night markets for local makers and shakers to come together! For a little while, it was just Kris and I, and then we became the luckiest people in all the land and found our one little magical employee who has saved our lives and sanity!
